Service Animals Saving Lives
Transforming lives through the healing power of professionally trained service animals
Helping Humans with Service Animals
Our Service Animals Program connects those who have served our country and individuals with disabilities to professionally trained service animals that provide independence, support, and companionship.
Service animals are more than pets—they are highly trained companions that provide life-changing assistance to veterans, first responders, and individuals with disabilities. These remarkable animals offer independence, emotional support, medical alert services, and a renewed sense of purpose to those who need it most.
The Frenette Foundation is committed to supporting the training, placement, and ongoing care of service animals, ensuring that every individual who can benefit from a service animal has access to this transformative partnership.

Psychiatric Service Dogs
Trained to assist individuals with PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental health conditions. These dogs can perform tasks like interrupting panic attacks, providing deep pressure therapy, creating personal space in crowds, and alerting to emotional distress.
Mobility Assistance Dogs
Specially trained to help individuals with physical disabilities maintain balance, retrieve items, open doors, turn on lights, and provide stability during movement. These dogs enable greater independence in daily activities.
Medical Alert Dogs
Trained to detect and alert to medical conditions such as seizures, low blood sugar in diabetics, or cardiac events. These life-saving companions provide early warning that allows individuals to take preventive action or seek help.
Autism Support Dogs
Trained to work with individuals on the autism spectrum, providing calming pressure, preventing wandering, interrupting repetitive behaviors, and helping with social interactions. These dogs offer security and emotional regulation support.
The Impact of Service Animals
The bond between a service animal and their handler is profound and life-changing. These partnerships restore dignity, enable independence, and provide unconditional support to those who need it most.
